Unclaimed funds are monies deposited with the court by a case trustee pursuant to §347, Title 11 of the United States Code. Generally, these monies are unclaimed because the trustee does not have a current address for the creditor. Funds may be claimed pursuant to §2042, Title 28 of the United States Code. Apply for Unclaimed funds
A completed application, Form AO 213P, and proposed order for payment of unclaimed funds are due at the time of filing the application. Form AO 213P only needs to be submitted once to the court. If you have already submitted AO 213P and the court has your vendor information on file, AO 213P Vendor Information/TIN Certification form is not required.
