Due to the resurgence of COVID-19 and the current dangerous levels of community spread in the State of Texas and counties served by the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Texas, access to court services is temporarily limited to online and mail effective Monday, August 9, 2021 until further notice from the court.
The e-Services tab on the court’s website provides information and links to several safe and convenient alternatives to filing in person such as Electronic Case Files (ECF) for authorized users, Electronic Self-Representation (eSR), Electronic Proof of Claim (ePOC), and the Online Payment System (OPS) for self-represented individuals who are not authorized ECF users.
Any petition, pleading or other document related to a bankruptcy matter in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Texas may also be mailed to the appropriate clerk’s office locations for processing. Mailing addresses for clerk’s office locations may be found using the Court Info tab on the court’s website.
The court also recently introduced the Electronic Document Submission (EDS) system. EDS is a new electronic drop box available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week that allows attorneys and self-represented individuals to submit documents in portable document format (PDF) for emergency filing consideration when circumstances warrant. See the Emergency Filing Procedures page at the court’s website for more information on appropriate use of the EDS system.
Please contact one of our clerk's office locations if you have questions or need further assistance.
