Case Management/Electronic Case Files (CM/ECF) is the automated Case Management and Electronic Docketing System for U. S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Texas. CM/ECF provides an easy-to-use electronic case filing feature that makes it easier for you by allowing you to file and view court documents over the Internet.

Access for Creditors

Limited access to file certain creditor-related documents via TXEB's electronic document filing facilities is available to filers not admitted to practice in the Eastern District of Texas. Only Proofs of Claim, Creditor's Notice of Transfer/Assignment of Claim, Creditor's Withdrawal of Claim and Requests for Notice may be submitted.

A completed Creditor Registration Application/fillable version must be submitted to your CM/ECF trainer (see list below under Training Information) & proficiency with the Electronic Document Filing system must be demonstrated. Training may be required.

We now have a CM-ECF Training Guide for Creditors. If you have any questions or comments about this guide, please contact Mr. Neil Johnson.

The United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Texas is pleased to offer a CM/ECF Training Manual for Creditors.

Please note that there is no change to the Court's requirement that external filers who wish to file electronically must complete docketing & filing requirements into the Court's training CM/ECF system.

All users are encouraged to submit requests for changes and improvements to the Training Manual via email to Mr. Neil Johnson, Work Leader in the Tyler divisional office. Mr. Johnson is the primary author of the manual.
